Jhanak 15th September 2024 Written Update: The episode begins with Adrija taunting Meghla and Appu. She gets into an argument with Choton. Appu asks Lalon to sing, and Lalon agrees but says he will sing with Appu. Kajal suggests they both sing but asks Meghla to sing first. Meanwhile, Anuradha introduces Bhattacharya to Appu’s family. Anirudh expresses happiness meeting Bhattacharya and acknowledges that his father had made a mistake. Bhattacharya challenges that he will reveal the truth in due time and praises Jhanak for opening his eyes.
Lalon invites everyone to sit. Choton reveals that he doesn’t have a big job and just sells books. He shares that he has memories with books but now wants to distance himself from them. Meghla asks about those memories, and Choton confesses that he will miss her. She wonders if loving her is so difficult, as he plans to leave the books because they remind him of her. He responds by saying that painful memories are hard to bear, and he feels ignorant. Meghla reassures him, saying they aren’t here for an exam. Choton mentions his plan to move to Assam for work, and Meghla agrees, telling him to go if he has decided. Choton explains that with Appu now married, Anjana and Bablu can take care of their parents, and it would be better for him to work and send money home. Meghla reminds him that being with family is more important than money. He states that nothing is holding him back, and she agrees, saying he hasn’t found anyone worth staying for. Choton, reluctant to take risks, says he lets people go if they want to leave. Meghla tells him not to blame her for his mistakes before leaving the conversation.
On stage, Meghla sings, and Mrinalini mentions that Choton wants to go to Assam. Anjana expresses that she won’t allow him to go. After the song, everyone applauds, while Adrija looks unimpressed. Appu and Lalon then sing together, and Kajal gets emotional. Afterward, Appu asks Kajal if she liked the song, and Kajal says yes, adding that Appu deserves to be Lalon’s wife. Appu praises Lalon, saying he will be a famous singer someday, and Kajal will have to scold him. Kajal replies that Lalon will listen to Appu because he loves her.
Lalon asks Anirudh to sing, and as he does, Jhanak hears the song on the radio. The crowd applauds, but Anirudh is filled with emotions, thinking about how Jhanak had filled his love with lies and tricks, hoping one day she will tell the truth. Meanwhile, Jhanak reflects on Anirudh’s denial of accepting their child. Anirudh wonders why he would take responsibility for a child if he had no involvement and insists that it is Aditya’s responsibility.
Jhanak begins experiencing stomach pain when the doorbell rings. Thinking it might be Aditya, she struggles to move. Aditya arrives and notices Jhanak looking unwell. He asks if Anirudh accepted her, but she says it’s her problem and she will handle it. Aditya confesses his love for her but acknowledges that she loves Anirudh. He says he has enough self-respect not to demand love but admits that he still loves her. Jhanak is shocked but listens as Aditya explains that he just wants to support her. He mentions that if Anirudh refuses to take responsibility for the child, he is ready to step up and give the child his name, even if Jhanak doesn’t love or want to marry him. Jhanak thanks him but firmly states that Anirudh is the father, and she is capable of raising the child alone. She appreciates Aditya’s support but insists on remaining friends.
Aditya, visibly upset, tells her that since she insists on handling things alone, he won’t interfere anymore. As he turns to leave, Jhanak suddenly feels dizzy and faints. Aditya rushes to her side, offering her water and expressing concern. Despite Jhanak’s attempts to downplay her condition, Aditya insists they visit the hospital for a check-up, worried about her health.
In the precap, Aditya calls Anirudh, informing him that Jhanak’s condition has worsened and she’s been admitted to the hospital. He urges Anirudh to come to Mumbai. Anirudh tells Arshi that he needs to lie for Jhanak’s sake as he prepares to leave.
