Jhanak 11th September 2024 Written Update: The episode begins with Dadi asking, “Is this true? Did you really try to send Lalon to jail to break Appu’s marriage?” Shubh replies, “No, it’s a lie.” Anjana interrupts, saying, “It’s true. The commissioner came and saved Appu’s life.” She questions Shubh, “Why did you do this? Do you not see us as equals? What wrong did we do by choosing Lalon for Appu? We have no status; we live here because of mom and dad.”
Anirudh tries to calm the situation and says to Jhanak, “Don’t take what my parents said to heart.” Then, addressing Shrishti, he adds, “You will get blamed one day if you blame others. This same thing can happen to you, so be careful. Learn from Shubh’s mistake. Lalon forgave him, or else he would have been in jail. This is the truth.” Mimi, upset, asks Anirudh, “Are you not ashamed to say this?” Anirudh responds, “There is no shame in speaking the truth.” Shubh insists, “It’s not true.” But Anirudh firmly says, “Why shouldn’t I believe it? You have hurt me deeply. If my family wasn’t with me, I don’t know what I would have done out of shame. You need to change and become a better person, please.” Bablu scolds Shubh for his actions.
Appu, now distressed, says, “I don’t want to stay here. The police will arrest Lalon.” Lalon tries to comfort her, saying, “If you agree, then mom will take us home.” Appu replies, “Yes.” Anuradha then suggests to Anjana, “Let’s complete the marriage rituals today itself.” Anjana nods in agreement. Appu says, “Yes, it’s better if I leave for my in-laws’ house soon. Shubh and Tanuja hurt me deeply.” Tanuja, furious, tells Appu to shut up. Lal steps in and says, “We won’t attend the rituals.” Bipasha argues, “No one can stay here without Shubh’s help.” Choton counters, “Your thinking is wrong. Everyone here earns their own living. Shubh’s wrongdoing cannot be justified. What will I tell Lalon and his friends? They know everything. Shubh made a mistake, but thankfully, the commissioner remembered the favors of Lalon’s father and saved him. Even poor people have dignity.”
Choton tells Anjana to prepare for Appu’s Bidaai (farewell). Appu says, “Yes, I want to go.” Anjana asks, “Will Appu never come back here?” Lalon replies, “She can visit, but I won’t come. You can come anytime to pick her up, or I will drop her at the door, but I won’t step inside.” Anirudh declares, “I will stay here.” Arshi argues with him, but he firmly says, “If you want to leave, then go. This is a special ritual. Appu is my elder sister.” Arshi, annoyed, remarks, “I know why you want to stay here. It’s because of Jhanak.” Anirudh shouts, “Arshi!” Jhanak steps in, saying, “Why are you so insecure? You are already the daughter-in-law of this house. Even if your marriage was incomplete, everyone believes you are Anirudh’s wife.” Arshi angrily tells Jhanak to shut up. Jhanak calmly responds, “You can’t silence me. I am not dependent on you for anything, so think before you speak. The police aren’t just for the rich; they protect the poor too.”
Later that night, Anjana laments, “I can’t see Appu clearly. After the rituals, I won’t be able to stay here. It’s a big family, but no one is left to bless her. She’s starting a new chapter in life.” Dadi blesses Appu, and Anuradha adds, “We will try to arrange a Bou Bhat (a welcoming ceremony) at a nearby school. Please attend. Lalon will work hard to give Appu a good life.” Dadi reassures Appu, “You can visit home whenever you want.” Appu asks, “Why? Won’t you come to my in-laws’ house because they are poor?” Dadi replies, “No, I’m just getting old. I can’t come alone.” Appu confronts her, saying, “No, you won’t come because Shubh will get angry. I always speak the truth, just like dad taught me.” Anirudh tries to console her, saying, “Choton and I will visit you. He has gone to buy a surprise gift for you.” Appu, excited, says, “Tell him to bring Meenu along too.”
Appu also expresses her fear that Jhanak, who will soon leave for Mumbai, won’t visit her. Jhanak reassures her, “Don’t worry. I will come to meet you when you visit.” Appu, unconvinced, says, “I know you won’t come back here.” Jhanak responds, “You can visit me in Mumbai.” Anirudh, mocking Jhanak, says, “You will have to stay at Aditya’s house.” Lalon, upset by the tone, says, “We will leave if this is how you respect us.” Jhanak thanks him for the support.
As Appu prepares for her departure, Dadi apologizes to Lalon for insulting him earlier. She says, “Now I realize that you are a good person. Prove yourself to those who doubted you.” Lalon replies, “It’s not my job to prove anything to anyone. I will prove it to my wife.” Appu, misunderstanding, says, “I know wife means bride,” and laughs. Anjana, smiling, remarks, “Appu is innocent. She doesn’t always understand what to say.” Anuradha comments, “It’s a blessing to have someone as pure-hearted as Appu. We will do our best to keep her happy.”
Appu, still emotional, asks, “Where is Dadu?” Dadi replies, “He is resting; he’s not well.” Bablu starts crying. Appu consoles him, saying, “Don’t cry. I will come home to visit you.” She also assures Bablu, “I will get Choton and Meenu married.” Everyone smiles at her sweet intentions. Lalon says he will invite Choton to the Bou Bhat, and Anuradha adds, “He must attend.” Jhanak asks about Meenu’s absence, and Bablu says, “I will call her.” Appu, in tears, says, “I don’t want to leave. How will I live without you all?” Lalon, comforting her, says, “You have two homes now. You can visit whenever you want.”
Dadi brings the rice plate for the ritual and asks Appu to repeat her words. Jhanak stops Appu before she says anything.
Precap: Aditya calls Anirudh and informs him, “Jhanak’s condition is serious. We had to admit her to the hospital. Come to Mumbai soon.” Anirudh immediately responds, “I’m coming.”
