Today’s episode of Jhanak is centered around the grand finale of the dance competition. Shrishti is shown nervously pacing in the wings, looking for any way to stop Jhanak from winning. She sneaks into Jhanak’s cubicle and hides a jagged piece of glass deep inside the padding of Jhanak’s left ghungroo. When Jhanak returns and puts them on, she feels a slight pinch but assumes it’s just the tightness of the strap and proceeds to the stage.
As soon as the classical music begins, Jhanak starts her heavy footwork. With every “Tatkar” (foot strike) on the floor, the glass piece pierces deeper into her heel. The camera focuses on Jhanak’s face—her eyes are full of tears, but her expression is one of fierce defiance. She refuses to stop, remembering every insult she has faced. Slowly, a trail of blood starts appearing on the white stage floor, leaving a visible red path.
Aniruddh, sitting in the front row, is the first to notice the blood and half-rises from his seat in horror. Jhanak catches his eye and gives a slight shake of her head, signaling him to stay back. She completes the entire routine with a grand finale, even though she is visibly limping. The audience gives her a standing ovation, unaware of the sacrifice she just made. Arshi and Shrishti look on in shock, angry that their plan didn’t stop her.
Precap: As soon as the performance ends, Jhanak collapses on stage. Aniruddh rushes to her and picks her up in his arms, ignoring Arshi’s screams of jealousy. In the medical room, the doctor removes the bells and finds the glass, confirming it was a deliberate attempt to injure her.
